VIDEO: Large chunks of snow fall onto busy sidewalk in Turkey

RIZE, Turkey (KTRK) -- A camera captured the moment when massive chunks of snow fell off a roof and onto a busy sidewalk in Turkey.

In the video, people can be seen rushing out of the way as the snow continuously falls.

The video shows bystanders quickly digging into the snow and trying to help those confined underneath.

The incident reportedly happened after large amounts of snow piled up in a roof of a mosque in the city of Rize in Turkey, due to heavy snowfalls.

According to the BBC News, two women were injured during the incident were taken to the hospital for treatment.
