HPD: Card game argument escalated to murder on Houston's south side

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a man killed another man during a game of cards on Houston's south side over the weekend.

It happened Saturday night at a home in the 8000 block of Grandview. Police say Erick Minor, 50, and Larry Moland, 58, were involved in a card game when the two began to argue.

The argument turned physical and following the fight, police say Minor went next door to his home to grab a pistol. He reportedly returned with it and shot Moland at least once.

Minor was arrested at the scene and is now facing a murder charge.
