Big rig accident downs power lines on East Fwy feeder road

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating after an accident involving a big rig that brought down some utility poles on the East Freeway.

The accident happened just after 11pm in the 12600 block of East Freeway near Normandy Street.

When officers arrived, they found the feeder road blocked by the 18 wheeler. It appears at least two utility poles were affected by the accident.

There is no word yet on the condition of the driver or exactly how that accident happened.
