Fort Bend Sheriff's Office: Man who lost job barricaded inside home

BEASLEY, TX (KTRK) -- The Fort Bend County SWAT team and the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office are involved in an incident in the Beasley area.

Sheriff's deputies were called to a scene in the 9600 block of Grunwald Road, between Rosenberg and Beasley, at about 9:30am. Earlier in the day, deputies say the man involved had been fired from his job.

Officials add that the man faces a felony warrant for an aggravated kidnapping charge out of Wharton County.

After leaving his place of employment, deputies say the man went to the home he was renting on Grunwald and has been barricaded there ever since. Authorities say he was also about to be evicted from the home for lack of rent payment.

Authorities remain on the scene.
