OAKLAND, CA -- Ayesha Curry, the wife of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, really got the Internet buzzing Saturday night.

She sparked a debate on Twitter after commenting on the state of popular fashion while browsing through a style magazine.

She said that she prefers to "keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters," adding that she would take "classy over trendy any day of the week."

This lead to a heated debate, with some women defending their rights to dress as they please.

Some took Curry's words as an opportunity to shame women who might not "keep the good stuff covered up" when that was not her intention.

Curry tweeted again hours later to clarify that her opinions were not meant to be used against women who disagree.
