Astros Hinch finishes second in AL Manager of the Year voting

NEW YORK -- AJ Hinch turned the Astros from a last place team to a playoff powerhouse this season, but it apparently wasn't quite good enough to earn Manager of the Year honors.

On Tuesday, Rangers Manager Jeff Banister was named BBWAA American League Manager of the Year. Hinch finished second in the voting.
