Rosenberg police find 1,100 pounds of marijuana after chase

ROSENBERG, TX (KTRK) -- A couple of suspects are on the run after a chase in Rosenberg that ended with police confiscating roughly 1,000 pounds of marijuana.

According to Rosenberg police, officers were trying to pull over the driver of a white truck near Highway 59 northbound at Reading Road. The driver didn't stop and the chase was on.

It ended in an area around FM 762, where the suspects abandoned the truck and took off on foot. They remain on the loose.

Inside the truck, police found approximately 1,100 pounds of marijuana.
