Driver crashes into Houston police vehicle in SW Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An officer was uninjured when their patrol car was involved in an early-morning accident in southwest Houston.

The driver of a Honda Pilot hit the Houston police vehicle while turning right on Bellaire Blvd., just before Fondren Rd.

Police said the driver left the scene but the car was found a couple of blocks away.

A person in the passenger seat of the vehicle when officers arrived was held for questioning. No charges have been filed.
