HPD releases new fugitive list
Houston police have released the names of the 10 most wanted domestic violence fugitives

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston, take a good long look at the mugshots in this article. Authorities told Eyewitness News these men are the most wanted fugitives in Harris County for domestic abuse. Police said the stories behind their warrant numbers prove disturbing.

In one case, investigators said a man slammed his fiancee's hands in a car trunk following an argument over soda. In another, detectives report a man pushed his ex-girlfriend into a wall while she was holding 2 infant boys.

This morning inside Crime Stoppers, a survivor of domestic violence spoke out alongside county leaders. Stephanie von Stein said it's time we all recognize these crimes happen far too often in our community.

"If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. It can happen to any man, my daughter, to my son, to my sisters and my cousin and family," said von Stein. "So please if you see something, stand up and help that person and believe that person when they tell you because it's probably taken them as long as it has taken me to stand her and say something and speak out."

If you have information on where these men are, call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and earn up to a 5,000 dollar reward. Their number is 713-222-8477. (TIPS).
