Storm damage narrowly misses sleeping newborn, family says

TAMPA BAY, Florida (KTRK) -- Powerful storms moving through Florida almost had a deadly outcome for a family.

Strong winds sent a massive tree straight into the bedroom of a newborn baby.

The ceiling in the nursery came crashing down around the sleeping baby, barely missing her by inches.

No one was hurt. But the newborn's mother said it was very frightening.

The family will now have to stay in a hotel.
