HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The two brothers found in a west Houston pool last evening have died, Harris County Constable Precinct 5 confirms this morning.

According to the Harris County Pct. 5 Constable's Office, Gonzalo Ramiro, 9, and Alvaro Ramiro, 6, were discovered in a tent in the pool of a home on Thicket Ridge Lane around 7:15pm.

Authorities say a deputy working an extra job happened to be parked nearby. The children's 12-year-old sister ran to him for help.

By the time he got to the pool, the nanny, who was babysitting, had already pulled one child out. He pulled the other child out and began performing CPR on both children until emergency personnel arrived at the scene.

The boys were rushed to Texas Children's Hospital west campus, where they were pronounced dead.

According to the constable's office, the boys were playing in a tent in the backyard. It was zipped up. Somehow it ended up in the pool and the boys were trapped.

Houston police are investigating.
