It's National Coffee Day! Here's where you can get free caffeine fix

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Happy National Coffee Day! That means free coffee!

A number of coffee, restaurant and grocery chains are offering free or discounted coffee for the day. Here's a list of places to get your free coffee discounts:

1. Shipley Do-Nuts

You can enjoy one free small coffee with your purchase between 5am and Noon today. There is a limit of one free cup of coffee per customer.

2. Dunkin' Donuts

You can get a free medium hot or iced Dark Roast coffee today. There's also a limit of one per guest. If you sign up for the free DD Perks rewards program, you'll get an additional free beverage.

3. Pilot Flying J

You can use this coupon today to get a free 16-ounce cup of coffee or cappuccino.

4. Whole Foods Market

The supermarket chain has been offering 25-cent 12-ounce cups of coffee since Sept. 9. Yes, we know it's not free, but the deal stays in place through tomorrow.

Honorable Mention: Krispy Kreme

The donut chain is giving out a free 12-ounce coffee WITH a free donut today. Okay, we know Houston doesn't have a Krispy Kreme yet. The good news - there's one set to open off Highway 6 next month, so it'll be a deal to look forward to next year.
