HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Harris County authorities have identified Danny Lee Neelys, 39, as the suspect they say forced their way into a home and killed a father and his teenage son in northwest Houston late Saturday night.

Deputies got a call about a shooting at a home on Atwood Grove Lane near Smiling Wood Lane around 11:30pm. When they arrived, they found the bodies of Keidric Jamal Jelks Sr., 42, and his son, Keidric Jamal Jelks Jr., 15.

Officials say the man was Jelks' brother-in-law. He is a 39 year-old black male, 5'10" tall, and weighing approximately 200 lbs. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities say Neelys left the scene on foot, but is believed to be driving a 2001 black Ford Expedition with the Texas license plate number AV26340.

Authorities continue to investigate. They are interviewing Jelks' wife and other relatives to find out more about the situation.

If you know the location of Neelys or his vehicle, call 911. If you have any other information in this case, call the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 713-967-5810 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
