Montgomery Co. law enforcement cracking down on drunk drivers

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Drivers on the north side will have no excuse this weekend. Montgomery County deputies are preparing for day two of their pre-holiday DWI blitz.

Additional state troopers will also be on-hand throughout the weekend as authorities will be cracking down on drunk drivers.

You can also expect extra nurses, prosecutors and investigators as part of the county's No Refusal Program.

Montgomery County Dep Brandon Bartoskewitz said, "Montgomery County constantly ranks among the top counties in the state for DWI offenses and fatalities and we're really trying to reduce that number out here."

Troopers say to expect additional officers in Montgomery County every weekend through the end of the year.
