8-year-old boy who went missing in SW Houston found safe

HOUSTON -- Ikechukwu Ukachukwu, 8, has been found safe, according to Houston police.

The boy vanished from his home on Pembrook near Bellfort in southwest Houston on Friday night. He was last seen around 5:30pm.

If you see this child, please call HPD. They have not issued an Amber Alert for the boy, but he is listed as a missing person. We're looking for more details in this case and will let you know more as soon as it is available.
