Silver Alert discontinued for elderly man last seen Wednesday evening in Richmond

Authorities in Fort Bend County have discontinued the Silver Alert for an 87-year-old man out of Richmond.

According to a tweet around 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Gordon Benton Waddell was found safe.

The search began Wednesday night for Waddell, who is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.

No other information after he was found has been given.
