Child accidentally killed by family vehicle

LIBERTY COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A 20-month-old boy was killed Thursday when he was accidentally run over by a family vehicle.

According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, Mason Thompson wandered into the path of his father's truck while his father was backing out of their driveway.

The child's mother reportedly believed he was with his father in the truck and the father thought their only son was inside the home with his mother when the accident occurred.
