Flooding concerns remain in Brazoria County, Deborah Wrigley reports.

LAKE JACKSON, Texas (KTRK) -- New mandatory evacuation orders have been issued in parts of Lake Jackson in Brazoria County.

Early Saturday, people living on Dewberry Street, Dewberry Court and Strawberry Drive were told to leave.

On FM 2004 and Brazos River Road, a house and barn were threatened by rising water in the Brazos River.

The river was just a few hundred yards away. This morning, the house and barn are now taking on water.

We've watched the Brazos River swell overnight beyond its banks in Lake Jackson.

Brazos River has crested, so hopefully the waters will ease off soon.

We watched as hundreds of families took off yesterday ahead of the water's rise. Today, perhaps, some may be able to get back inside their homes.
