Man found shot to death in street on south side of Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police are trying to figure out what led to the shooting of a man who was found dead in a street early Thursday morning on Houston's south side.

Neighbors say they heard gunshots and called police. Around 1 a.m., officers found the man's body in the intersection of Paige Street and Palm Street.

No word on how many times the man was shot or how he ended up in the road.

Investigators are checking for surveillance video or witnesses.
