Clean homes are gift for cancer patients
Volunteers clean the patients' homes when they don't have the energy to do it themselves

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- For cancer patients, the diagnosis can turn their lives upside down, leaving them with precious little energy for anything other than focusing on their health.

The last thing cancer patients want to do or have the energy to do is clean their house. Fortunately, they don't have to.

Maid Brigade, through the Cleaning for a Reason Foundation, has been lending a helping hand to cancer patients in our area for the last five years.

"Because it's the right thing to do, and everybody needs help sometimes."

Their help consists of four free cleaning visits so that patients can focus on getting better.
