Lululemon recalls more than 300,000 hoodies, tops

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Lululemon is recalling more than 300,000 hoodies and tops because drawstrings with hard metal or plastic tips can cause injuries your eye or face while wearing it.

When the elastic draw cord with a hard tip in the hood or around the neck area is pulled or caught on something and released, it can snap back, injuring your face, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The agency says seven people have reported injuries.

The recall applies to tops sold in the U.S. and Canada. If you have the hoodie, the CPSC says to remove the cord and Lululemon will provide a non-elastic string with written instructions on how to replace it.

The recalled products were sold between January 2008 and December 2014 for $75 to $260.

In 2013, Lululemon recalled yoga pants that became see-through when people bent over.
