Five-year-old drowns in League City pool

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- Police are investigating the drowning of a five-year-old child in League City.

We're told the family was at the pool of an apartment complex in the 900 block of W. FM 517.

There was a desperate effort to save the child, but it was unsuccessful.
