Pregnant woman pistol whipped during violent robbery
A pregnant woman is recovering from injuries she suffered after robbers pistol whipped her inside a money transfer kiosk.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Crooks are on the run after a terrifying attack at a northwest Harris County supermarket. They pistol-whipped a pregnant woman while others hid under their registers.

Surveillance video captured the horror from inside that money transfer kiosk off FM 1960 and Jones Road. You can see two masked men rush up to the window. They demand access to the safe, but the clerk kept saying she has no access. They pistol whip her and take whatever money they can find.

Meanwhile, one man is at the counter, holding a gun over the clerk's head.

Employees believe they targeted the money transfer kiosk because it's so busy. Many Mexican-Americans go there to send money back home during the holidays.

"It's usually our busiest days, the holidays, since we're open and most stores are closed. We're open every single day literally," clerk Karina Arragun said.

"I don't feel safe. You know, doing something like as ordinary as shopping, you can feel a little bit insecure," customer Ernesto Neuman said.

The robbery took less than a minute.

The pregnant woman is at a local hospital recovering from her injuries.
