HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was trying to cross a street in Northeast Houston early this morning when he was hit by a woman after she had turned onto the road. The accident occurred on Irvington Blvd. around 8:15 a.m, according to authorities.

The man was not crossing at a sidewalk, so the driver was found not to be at fault. When police officers arrived at the scene, the woman was hugging the pedestrian.

Fog had also limited the woman's ability to see down the street, so she didn't see the man until it was too late, officers say.
