SUGAR LAND, TX -- The Ismaili Jamatkhana and Center in Sugar Land hosted an Eid Celebration.
Eid is a religious event celebrated by Muslims worldwide to mark the end of Ramadan, an Islamic holy month of fasting.
The local event brought together several civic and elected officials from Sugar Land and Houston, including a keynote address by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner.
Part of the mission of The Ismaili Jamatkhana and Center is to foster friendship and understanding and serve to enhance relationships between the faith community, government and civil society.
