HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Houston pediatrician has now posted bond after being accused of indecency with a child.

Robert Joseph Yetman was indicted yesterday by a Harris county grand jury. The 54-year-old is employed by UT Health. He also had privileges at Memorial Hermann hospital. He has been affiliated with Memorial Hermann for more than 30 years.

"We are deeply concerned by the serious allegation against Dr. Robert Yetman as the safety and well-being of our patients are our top priorities. We are cooperating with law enforcement authorities as they conduct their investigation," said Memorial Hermann spokesperson Alex Rodriguez Loessin. "Pending the legal conclusion of the court case, Dr. Yetman is on administrative leave from UT Health and is no longer seeing patients at our hospital."

Sources say the victim was a patient. Neither the Harris County District Attorney's Office nor the Houston Police Department will provide any further detail on the allegation. According to the indictment, Yetman had sexual contact with the victim.

Yetman has not yet responded to requests for comment. He is out of custody on $30,000 bond.
