Elderly Friendswood man with dementia found safe after search

FRIENDSWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- An elderly man with dementia was found safe by authorities in Friendswood after a day-long search.

Hugh "Rocky" Hudson, 80, was reported missing after he was seen on neighborhood surveillance video walking east in the 800 block of Sandringham Street at 3:45pm on June 15.

Friendswood PD and TexSAR (Texas Search & Rescue)conducted the search, along with the Coast Guard, a mounted patrol from Galveston County, Alfa Search and Rescue dogs and TDCJ bloodhounds.

No other details have been released.
