HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A former Houston police officer was sentenced to probation for his part of a traffic ticket scandal.

Robert Manzanales will have to complete three years of deferred adjudication and 130 hours of community service.

In September of last year, it was revealed he and three other officers all listed each other as witnesses on traffic tickets even though their patrol car's GPS showed they were not present.

They did it so they would be called to testify in court and earn overtime. Manzanales also was ordered to surrender his peace officers license.
