Jackknifed semi-truck causes major delays on US-59 near SH-288

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Traffic is starting to move again after an accident on US-59 southbound near SH-288 caused major backups during a stormy morning commute.

All lanes of US-59 southbound reopened hours after a semi-truck jackknifed.

The semi-truck blocked two lanes of traffic on the freeway before it was cleared.
