James Harden hosts Christmas shopping spree for kids

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston Rockets guard James Harden hosted several families Saturday afternoon for a holiday shopping experience at Target.

Harden, along with his mother, Monja Willis, have organized the holiday shopping experience in each of his seasons with the Rockets.

"It's about the kids and basically getting them whatever they want for Christmas," Harden said. "That's the reason why I do it. To make them smile, to get that excitement that they probably haven't had since I don't know when."

Indeed, Harden did just that.

"James Harden is amazing," one of the kids said.
