HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department's newest canine officer made his first capture overnight Wednesday.

The dog named Boxi, along with his handler Officer Shadden, caught a suspect hiding in the woods after midnight. Officers were called to an incident involving a truck near the South Beltway and Main around midnight.

Two suspects ran from the situation, which police would not provide details on. One suspect got away, but thanks to Boxi, the other was caught.
