Houston Firefighter accused in teen's sex assault
A Houston Firefighter is accused of sexually assaulting a teen girl.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A Houston Fire Department employee is facing charges for the alleged sexual assault of an underage girl he met online.

Investigators said 27-year-old Brandon Ramirez met the victim through an online chat app and over the course of several weeks, sent her sexually explicit photos and videos of himself.

The alleged victim, who investigators said is a 14-year-old girl, met up with Ramirez three times, allegedly performing a sex act on one occasion in March 2017.

The accusations against Ramirez came to light when the girl spoke with deputies after making what they say was an outcry for help.

Ramirez is scheduled to appear before a judge on Monday. His bond has been set at $100,000.

The Houston Fire Department relieved Ramirez of duty pending an administrative investigation.
