HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston fire crews responded to a chemical leak that started when an empty Union Pacific tank car struck another tank car on Kirkpatrick near the North Loop Wednesday morning.

The Houston Fire Department says tank car struck started leaking sodium hydro sulfide. They add that the leak was contained as of 8:38am.

One person was taken to Northeast Medical Hospital for evaluation.
