Houstonians protest election of Donald Trump

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- For the second day in a row, people have taken to the streets of Houston to protest Donald Trump's presidential win.

Protesters gathered Thursday night near Houston Police Department headquarters downtown.

In a post on Facebook, the event invited Houstonians to meet at City Hall at 4pm. The protest went through the night.

"We're walking towards equality," protesters shouted. "We're walking towards respect and one day soon, we will be free."

Across the nation, protests continued in Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York, Dallas and San Francisco.

President-elect Donald Trump is back on Twitter, taking on the protesters who have gathered in cities across the nation since his election.

"Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!" Trump tweeted.
