Elderly woman found murdered in Third Ward home

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An elderly woman was found dead in a Third Ward home on Sunday evening, police say.

A family member found the unidentified 64-year-old woman in a home on the 3000 block of Trulley Road around 5pm.

Detectives believe the woman died of blunt force trauma. A person of interest, who police say is related to the victim, is being questioned.

The investigation is ongoing. No other details have been released.
