Houston police say the robbery happened around 3:30am at the City G.e.a.r location in the 11,200 block of Fondren. Police say the crooks used a van to drive into the store and smash through the front door.

A witness then gave officers a description of a vehicle seen leaving the store.

A short time later, an undercover officer spotted the vehicle and called for backup. Police then tried to stop the suspects, but they took off towards the West University area. The suspects eventually crashed in Bissonnet at Law in the backyard of a home.

Three suspects then jumped out of the vehicle and ran off on foot, police say. A K9 unit located one suspect hiding in the bushes of a front yard. That suspect suffered minor injuries from the dog.

The other two suspects were later captured hiding in the backyard of a home on Nottingham.

Police say lots of stolen clothing items were found in the van the suspects were driving. Charges against the three men are pending.
