HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Houston real estate market has always been hot, but real estate agents say high rise living is catching on.

"You can have your dry cleaning delivered, all your packages, you have a valet parker, they bring your groceries up to you, so that lifestyle is really appealing," real estate broker Diane Kingshill said.

There are currently 10 homes listed as penthouses for sale in Houston, with prices upwards of $1 million.

But there are places with incredible views that are a lot more affordable. Real estate broker Suzanne Rivera sells high-rise homes, but she also lives in one.

"When I come home in the evenings, I walk straight to the window and look out," Rivera said.

She says there are currently 150 high-rise listings in the Houston area.

"Not all of those are penthouses of course, and they range from $87K to $4M that's on the market right now. So it really does cross different price ranges," Rivera said.

Realtors say the high life can make you fall in love with Houston all over again.

"We spend so much time driving around and all we see is concrete, we forget how beautiful the city is," Kingshill said.
