Man shot during home invasion in N. Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A man was injured by gunfire in a suspected home invasion in north Harris County.

It all happened just after 11:30pm at a home on West Red Birch.

Deputies say an unknown man kicked in the front door of the home, walked inside and opened fire on the victim.

The man was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive.

No word yet on the location or description of the suspect.
