MISSOURI CITY, TX (KTRK) -- The success of Misty Copeland as a principal dancer in the American Ballet Theatre continues to inspire young children.

You don't need to look further than "Kids in Dance" studio in Missouri City.

Eyewitness News caught up with about 50 African American ballerinas Wednesday morning. The girls, ranging in age from 3 to 15 years old, showed off their skills.

They also told us to see Copeland reach such heights proves anything is possible.

Instructor Darlette Johnson-Bailey said dance is where the kids feel most at home. Johnson-Bailey said some of the girls met Copeland when she was in town.
