New program with unlimited fitness classes hits Houston
Class Pass just arrived in Houston and is getting rave reviews from fitness enthusiasts

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- If your 30 day pass to the fitness center is about to expire, there's a new option in Houston to help you stick to your New Year's Resolution of staying fit.

Class Pass just arrived in Houston and is getting rave reviews from fitness enthusiasts. The program is a monthly membership to fitness classes all over the greater Houston area.

Clients pay $79 each month and get unlimited classes to some of the most popular studios in the Houston area. Members can take as many classes per month as they would like within the Class Pass network, but they can only visit the same studio up to three times per monthly cycle.

"For someone like me who wants a different kind of workout all the time, who gets bored at one place, it's good," said Class Pass member Mia Fredricks. "I am here at Pilates this morning, and I am going to boot camp later today."

CrossFit Eado is part of the Class Pass network, and instructor Shahim Naghavi says it's a great way for people to ease their way into new fitness routines.

"It's been really great. It gives an opportunity for people to try out things that maybe they haven't tried before," Naghavi said.

If you sign up for Class Pass, you can reserve your spot for a class online. In order to avoid any fees, you must cancel your reservation 24 hours in advance.

If you need to cancel your membership, you can do so three days out from your billing cycle. You can also put your membership on hold for a fee of $19.

There's also the option for a multi-city class pass for $99 each month. Fredricks uses that option because she lives in Austin but spends a lot of time in Houston.

"Most workout classes are 10-20 dollars a class, so if you go ten times in that month which is realistically not that hard, you are getting it for a really good price!" Fredricks said.

Because of its growing popularity, you might be put on a wait list before you can join.
