Nature Photography Day: Explore the great outdoors

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Each year, June 15th is designated by the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) as Nature Photography Day.

In 2006, NANPA celebrated the first Nature Photography Day and encouraged people to enjoy the day by using a camera to explore the great outdoors.

Nature Photography Day is now celebrated around the globe.
