Woman killed by hit-and-run driver near San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- Authorities say a 38-year-old woman has been killed by a hit-and-run driver in South Texas.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office says witnesses told investigators that a dark-colored SUV struck the woman early Sunday morning on a street west of San Antonio. Investigators say driver then fled the scene.

Authorities say the woman, who was not identified, was transported to a nearby hospital where she died.

Investigators say the vehicle is possibly an older model Ford Expedition and likely has damage to the front on the passenger side.
