HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston ISD trustees have voted to terminate the contact of a charter school after the district found extensive student record irregularities.
An internal investigation in April found major transcript issues at Hope Academy, located in the Third Ward.
According to HISD, of the 68 student records reviewed, 35 had over 50 irregularities ranging from grade changing to course additions and course deletions.
On Thursday, school board members decided it was time to take action against the school.
The board also approved a budget with raises for teachers, principals and other staffers.
