Rachel Neutzler with the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office said the fire was contained to the back of the building where personal hygiene products were being stored. Some of those products are made with petroleum and aerosol products.
The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Crews had to utilize tankers from several trucks because they had trouble accessing water, officials said.
On Sunday, HCFMO said the cause of the fire is still under investigation and that the fire was still smoldering on Sunday afternoon.
The IQ Products Company is a manufacturer of consumer products like home care, automotive and personal care.
HCFMO, along with the Houston Fire Department and officials from the Harris County Pollution Control are monitored the air quality in the area, but no major issues were reported.
