The down and dirty on marijuana

It's known by many names -- dope, herb, ganja, Mary Jane, even Acapulco Gold -- but at the end of the day, most everyone knows it as marijuana.

Studies have shown that more than one-third of U.S. residents age 12 and older have experimented with marijuana at least once, including nearly half of high school students.

According to the Department of Justice, medical marijuana is legal in the states below. Texas, however, is not one of them.
