No appointment needed to receive vaccine at NRG park, judge says
Still need a COVID-19 vaccine? Leaders are making it easier for you to get one without the hassle of making an appointment.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Those who have been searching for an opportunity to get a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine are now eligible to receive a shot at NRG Park without the hassle of making an appointment.

In an announcement on Monday afternoon, Congressman Al Green joined Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo to inform residents of the new plan that allows people to walk or drive up and get the COVID-19 vaccine.

"More than a half million people in the United States have died from COVID-19. That's nearly 564,000 members of our families and communities who unfortunately have succumbed to this unprecedented pandemic," Congressman Al Green stated. "As we are here in the Ninth Congressional District today to expand vaccine accessibility, I am encouraging everyone eligible to get vaccinated at this facility or one nearest you."

Judge Hidalgo stated that the new regulations will be effective immediately, and continued to encourage people to receive their dose.
