AUSTIN, TX (KTRK) -- Texas country music singer Randy Rogers says his newborn daughter has died.

Rogers and his wife Chelsea welcomed Rumer Rain Rogers on June 3 at the Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin. The band posted a photo of the parents and their daughter on Twitter.

Rumer was born with a rare medical condition. The band says she passed away in the arms of her parents less than a week after her birth.

The band posted a statement on their Facebook page yesterday morning:

"Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas. Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth. During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children's charity of their choosing."

Randy also issued a statement to Houston radio station The New 93Q:

"Good morning. Rumer passed away last night. She died after a week long battle with a very rare condition. She died in our arms and in no pain. She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick. I'm sure you all have many questions and we have all the answers the doctors gave us. We can share the story with you. It's quite an extraordinary one. A memorial will be planned soon. We love you."

Rumer was the couple's second child. Their first child, River Rose Rogers, was born in 2013.

The Randy Rogers Band has canceled its upcoming performances for the rest of the week to give the family time to grieve.
