9-year-old boy found with injury after going missing in west Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 9-year-old boy who was reported missing has been found.

Dayton Malik Shuman, 9, was last seen around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 10500 block of Valley Forge Drive in west Houston.

According to investigators, the child was found in the 10400 block of Deerwood on Tuesday night.

Police said he had some type of injury, but did not disclose how or where the injury happened.

Houston police are now working to reunite the child with his parents.
