Fake grocery coupons being shared on social media

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- If a grocery store coupon looks too good to be true, it very well may be. Three grocers tweeted about fake couple circulating around social media.

The grocers that tweeted about the coupons are H-E-B, Kroger and Aldi UK. The posts by grocers about the coupons are below.

Eyewitness News is hearing several of these coupons have been floating around online and customers are showing up with full baskets at registers only to find out they're fake.

A similar coupon from the retailer Aldi has been circulating as well. Other retailer scam coupons from Kroger's, Kohl's, Best Buy to list a few appear on Facebook frequently. According to Newstalk1280, retailers scammers used to bait social media users into providing personal information and recruit others to do the same.
