Gunshot victim dies after showing up at Heights hospital

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are trying to figure out who shot a person who showed up to a Heights hospital looking for help overnight.

Investigators said the gunshot victim died after arriving at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital early this morning.

Our cameras were there as police began combing through a vehicle for clues, right in front of the emergency room's front doors.

Police said the victim was driven to the hospital by someone else, but there were very little details beyond that.

We're hoping to learn the name of the victim and whether HPD has any possible suspects in the shooting.
